Benefitsolver - Adding a Newborn

• When an employee adds a newborn, Benefitsolver automatically notifies them that a birth certificate is required.  They also see reminders in their Message Center and can view the documentation due date in their account.

• It is the employee's responsibility to upload the birth certificate.  Therefore, if the employee misses the deadline, the baby's coverage may be terminated automatically.  The employee will need to contact NJDPB and may need to file a late enrollment appeal if coverage is removed.
